Curriculum
The Wayne State University Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies entry level professional program is a Plan C graduate program and requires the completion of 54 credit hours of course work over two years - six consecutive semesters. To earn the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, each student must successfully complete all course requirements in the proper sequence as listed below:

A course in human cadaver dissection designed to provide an understanding of the structural and functional anatomy of the human body relevant to the physician assistant. All regions of the body will be studied.
7010 Clinical Medicine I. :Prereq: admission to professional curriculum. Material fee as indicated in Schedule of Classes. Major disease entities; emphasis on etiology, manifestations, diagnosis, prevention and treatment.

Principles of pharmacological action followed by a review of the major therapeutic agents in each clinical area; will provide the student with an understanding of each drug category's mechanism of action, therapeutic uses, major side effects, warning and precautions.

8040 Psychiatric Rotation. Prereq: admission to professional curriculum. Material fee as indicated in Schedule of Classes. Participation in the care of patients with psychiatric disorders in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
